Oakwood Southshore Medical Center, formally known as Seaway Hospital has served the Downriver community for more than 40 years. The 193-bed, full service community hospital opened its doors in 1961, offering comprehensive healthcare with a personal touch.
Some of the services offered include 24-hour emergency care, cardiac care, women’s health, surgical services, including minimal/non-invasive outpatient procedures, laboratory and radiology services.
The Department of Radiology offers a full complement of imaging services in addition to an educational component which supports an osteopathic radiology residency program. The department offers 64-slice CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT Imaging, Interventional Radiology, Digital Mammography, Fluoroscopy and General Diagnostic Radiology services. In addition, the department has implemented Computed Radiography and state of the art, web-based PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System). |
